In 2026, Ukraine celebrates 160th anniversary of the birth of Mykhailo Serhiyovych Hrushevsky — a prominent Ukrainian historian, politician, public figure and one of the founders of Ukrainian statehood at the beginning of the 20th century.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On the Celebration of Memorable Dates and Anniversaries in 2026–2027" dated December 18, 2025 No. 4748-IX, special attention is paid to this significant date.

Mykhailo Hrushevskyi — a figure who occupies an important place in the history of Ukrainian statehood. He was the first Chairman of the Ukrainian Central Rada, a world-class scholar, and the author of fundamental works on the history of Ukraine.

In order to honor the memory of a prominent Ukrainian Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance prepared social advertising mockups dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of Mykhailo Hrushevsky.

The words of Mykhailo Hrushevsky, engraved on the models, are extremely relevant for each of us today: «"To unite, to concentrate, not to divide, not to scatter - this should be our motto.".

Let us remember those who created Ukrainian statehood and, with their knowledge, work, and civic stance, affirmed Ukraine's right to its own history and independent future.
