On August 10, a special ceremony was held in Chuhuiv to honor people who, with their daily work, professionalism, and dedication, made a significant contribution to the life and development of the Chuhuiv community over the past year.

These are representatives of a wide variety of fields - medicine, education, social protection, housing and communal services, management, and many others. People who often remain invisible to most residents, but it is thanks to their work that the community continues to live, work, help people, and develop even in the most difficult times.

Behind each award is not just a professional achievement, but a part of the great common history of Chuguev.

– It is a great honor for me today to say a sincere and huge «thank you» to each of them. Thank you for your years of work, for your responsibility, for your concern, for the fact that in the most difficult moments you remained close to your colleagues, to your city and people, – noted the head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Galina Minaeva.

A special and very significant part of the celebrations was the presentation of the highest distinction of our community – the title of «Honorary Citizen of the Chuguiv Territorial Community.» Today, this honor was bestowed upon two of our fellow countrymen who embody strength, courage, and devotion to their hometown.

The title of Honorary Citizen was awarded to our defender, Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Maar - a man who glorified the Chuguiv community with his feat and forever inscribed his name in its history. The second Honorary Citizen was Serhiy Lysenko, a well-known and respected teacher among his fellow countrymen, head of the city's Center for Tourism and Local Lore - a man who selflessly devoted many years of his life to educating youth, preserving history and love for his native land.

We sincerely congratulate our new Honorary Citizens and thank them for the fact that with their deeds they increase the glory of the Chuguiv community.

The celebrations were joined by People's Deputy of Ukraine Yevhen Pyvovarov and Head of the Chuhuyiv District Military Administration Serhiy Lobodenko. They presented our compatriots with high honors - diplomas of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as awards of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration and the Kharkiv Regional Council.

And a real gift for all those present were the bright concert numbers performed by talented artists from Chuguiv. Their creativity once again proved that culture and art live in our city despite all the challenges.

– Today, once again, we are forced to celebrate City Day differently than in peacetime. But I really want to believe that the day will soon come when we will all gather together again – as a crowded, happy community on our city square, without worries and fear, with songs, children's laughter and hugs, – wrote Galina Minaeva in her Telegram channel. – And then we will definitely thank everyone who stood up, preserved Chuguiev and helped it live on. And today – a low bow and sincere gratitude to everyone who works every day for our city. Happy City Day, dear Chuguiev!
