People's safety is an issue that cannot be compromised. That is why an unscheduled inspection of the civil defense facilities fund will be conducted in the Chuguiv community in the near future, in accordance with the July decision of the new government.
Last week, Deputy Mayor for the Activities of the Council's Executive Bodies, Kostyantyn Barmin, held a working meeting with the heads of condominium associations whose apartment buildings have shelters.
Dmytro Kulkov, the leading inspector of Department No. 1 of the Chuguiv District Department of Civil Protection and Preventive Activities of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, reminded those present in detail of the basic requirements for the maintenance and operation of protective structures.
The main focus of future surveys will be on two key points: the accessibility of shelter to people and its actual condition. Shelter should be available when needed, and its condition should meet the established requirements.
During the meeting, the responsibility of balance holders was also emphasized. Violation of the requirements established by law for the maintenance and operation of objects of the protective structures fund, in particular, failure to ensure unhindered access for citizens, provides for administrative liability in accordance with Article 175-3 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Concluding the meeting, Konstantin Barmin called on the heads of condominium associations and all those responsible for maintaining shelters to approach this work with the utmost responsibility. All shortcomings must be identified and eliminated in a timely manner.
