On June 25, the local Forum of Successful Practices of Career Guidance Work "Education, Government, Business: Synergy for the Future" was held in Chuguiv, which brought together representatives of local authorities, educational institutions, business, employers, and students to jointly form a modern career guidance system.

The event became a platform for an open dialogue about the future of youth, the needs of the labor market, and effective interaction of all participants in the educational process. As noted during the forum, the successful professional choice of each child is the key to sustainable community development.

Our community is a participant in the project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which is implemented jointly with the Swiss-Ukrainian project DECIDE. As part of the national piloting of the new career guidance system, a modern approach to the professional orientation of schoolchildren is being introduced: career counselors are being trained, communities are being coordinated, and a special course «Job Orientation Training (JOBs)» is being implemented for students in grades 8-9. The main goal of the initiative is to help teenagers consciously choose their future profession in accordance with their own abilities, interests, and current needs of the modern labor market.

During the forum, the results of a student survey on the organization of career guidance work in educational institutions were presented, as well as the Plan for the Implementation of the Career Guidance System in the Community, which determines further steps in the development of this area in the coming years.

The participants paid special attention to the prospects of creating a modern career guidance hub in the community. The community is currently planning to participate in a grant competition, which provides funding in the amount of 400 thousand hryvnias with a 30 percent co-financing.

The future career guidance hub will become a modern multifunctional space for students in grades 8-11(12), where they will be able to explore the world of professions, meet local business representatives and employers, develop practical skills, identify their own strengths, and build an individual educational and professional trajectory.

It is expected that the space will combine a training zone with VR equipment, a STEM zone, and specialized career guidance locations, formed in accordance with the economic profile of the community, the current needs of the local labor market, and partnerships with employers.

The practical part of the forum took place in the format of an interactive game "Professional Ecosystem of the Community", during which mixed teams of students, teachers, government representatives and business worked together to solve strategic cases of community development. Participants identified the professions of the future, necessary competencies, educational opportunities and looked for ways to involve young people in community development, as well as presented their own projects and proposals for the future labor market.

At the end of the forum, a summary and award ceremony took place. All participants received certificates signed by the head of the Chuguiv City Military Administration, Galina Minaeva, as confirmation of their active participation in the implementation of a modern system of professional orientation.

The forum was another step towards creating an effective system in the Chuhuiv community to support the professional self-determination of youth, develop partnerships between education, government, and business, and build the human resources necessary for the successful development of the community.
