Donors were honored in the Chuhuyiv community on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day

Четверо людей стоять поряд, посміхаючись; серед них жінка у світло-блакитному піджаку та троє чоловіків, двоє з яких тримають пакети, а один — нагороду у вигляді медалі на подіумі та сертифікати.

On June 18, a ceremonial awarding of blood donors with the Mayor's Gratitude Award took place in Chuguiv on the occasion of World Donor Day.

During the event, community residents who have been donating blood and its components free of charge for many years were honored, making a significant contribution to saving human lives and developing the donor movement in Ukraine.

The real pride of the Chuguiv community is Petro Mykolayovych Kyslynsky, who was awarded the honorary title of «Honored Donor of Ukraine» by the Decree of the President of Ukraine. He began his journey as a donor back in 1979 and during this time donated blood 110 times free of charge. Even in the most difficult years of the full-scale war, Petro Mykolayovych continued to help those in need of rescue. His life position is an example of true service to people.

Also deserving of high recognition are our fellow countrymen Yevgeny Igorovich Sokolnikov and Roman Volodymyrovych Istomin, who were awarded the title of "Honorary Donor of Ukraine." They regularly donate blood, understanding that each donation can be decisive for someone's fate.

Behind every drop of donated blood is a human heart, ready to help without expecting gratitude or reward. It is such people who are the true heroes of a peaceful life, an example of mercy, responsibility and love for one's neighbor.

During the award ceremony, Deputy Mayor - Manager of the Executive Committee, Lyudmila Makarenko, thanked the donors for their active civic position, concern, and willingness to help others.
