Dear residents of the Chuhuyiv community!

Every year on June 4, Ukraine and the entire civilized world bow their heads in deep sorrow. This day is designated by the UN and our state as the Day of Remembrance for children who died as a result of the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine.

There is nothing more terrible than the death of a child. It is an indescribable pain that years cannot heal, and a wound that will forever remain bleeding in the heart of our nation. The Russian invaders came to our land to take away the most precious thing from us - the future. They cynically destroy kindergartens, schools, maternity hospitals and residential areas, cutting short the lives of those who were supposed to grow, love, create and build a free Ukraine.

For our Chuhuiv community, this pain is personal and extremely deep. The terrible year of 2022 took away from us three little angels forever, three young residents of our community, whose lives were mercilessly torn apart by enemy shelling:

Tarasenko Anton - he will forever remain 13 years old;

Krasilya Mykola — there was supposed to be a whole life ahead of him, but it stopped at 15;

Anastasia Gritsenko is a little eleven-year-old girl whose enemy has taken away her right to grow up.

Each of these names is an unspeakable tragedy for the parents, a terrible loss for our community, and a harsh sentence for an international criminal aggressor. We have no right to forget any child whose childhood was burned by war. We have no right to forgive.

Today I express my deepest condolences to the parents, relatives and friends of Anton, Mykola and Anastasia, as well as to the families of all the deceased Ukrainian children. The entire Chuhuiv community shares with you this unspeakable, irreparable pain.

The bright memory of our little angels will always live in our hearts. And for our Defenders on the front lines, their lost lives are the strongest motivation to fight so that no Ukrainian child will ever again tremble from explosions or hide in shelters.

Today we bow our heads in a national moment of silence.
