On May 27, the community held its first focus group meeting on security issues. In accordance with the project implementation stages, the first focus group was held specifically for representatives of local government bodies and specialized services. Representatives of the city council, police, city military administration, and municipal enterprises joined the discussion.
Participants spoke not only about current challenges, but also about what residents want to see as a safe community in the future. During the meeting, they discussed issues such as emergency response, population protection, interaction between services, and the needs that are most relevant to the community today.
This was the first in a series of focus groups within the project. Two more meetings are ahead: one with the participation of representatives of civil society, volunteers and business, and the other with the participation of community residents, including representatives of vulnerable categories of the population.
Participation in the project is of practical importance for the Chuhuiv community, as the results of all three focus groups will form a common list of security needs and proposals. The ideas and solutions developed will become the basis for further support within the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Program, which will allow attracting additional resources for the implementation of security initiatives and strengthening the resilience of the community.
Additionally: The event was held as part of the Project «Security in Action: Inclusive Planning of Security Solutions to Strengthen Community Resilience», which is implemented by the PAUCI Foundation. This project is supported by the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Program, which is funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, Estonia, Canada, Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden.
