Kharkiv OVA together with the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council organized a forum for agricultural workers in the region. The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Viktor Mykyta, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky, Head of the KHOVA Oleg Synegubov, Head of the Regional Council Tetyana Yegorova-Lutsenko, Head of the VAR Andriy Dykun, People's Deputies, Heads of Territorial Communities, as well as Agrarians of the region.

«"President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has identified support for the regional economy, in particular the agricultural sector, as one of the priorities of state and regional policy. A support package and relevant programs have been formed for the agricultural sector to support entrepreneurs in extremely difficult times of war. I am confident that together, through joint work and consolidated efforts, we will maintain the sector, provide the country with critically important products, thousands of jobs, and strengthen the resilience of our state," Viktor Mykyta noted.

Since 2022, the Russian occupiers have damaged or destroyed more than 600 agro-industrial enterprises in the region, as well as about 1,600 units of agricultural machinery. Despite military risks, farmers carried out field work on 701,400 hectares of land in the region in 2025. According to the results of the harvest, more than 2.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested, as well as more than 1.1 million tons of industrial crops.

«"Agricultural producers of the Kharkiv region throughout the entire War of Independence of Ukraine prove that our region remains an agrarian region. You ensure food and economic security not only of the region, but also of all of Ukraine. To support the sector, we are developing a regional program of financial assistance to small businesses. Currently, the document is in the work of the relevant commission, and will then be considered at the next session of the regional council. I am grateful to every agricultural enterprise of the region for its resilience, consistent work during military challenges and support for the residents of the region. Special thanks to the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Government and the relevant ministries for systematic assistance to the agricultural sector and effective state programs," said Oleg Synegubov.

A number of government programs have been introduced to support farmers. In particular, "5-7-9%" loans with preferential terms are available, compensation for the cost of purchased domestically produced agricultural machinery, grants under the "eWork" program, as well as financial and technical assistance from international partners.

«"Since the beginning of this year, 226 agricultural producers in the Kharkiv region have taken advantage of the state program of affordable loans "5-7-9%". The total amount amounted to over 2.1 billion hryvnias. This is the fifth indicator within all regions, including rear areas. The program will continue to operate until the end of March 2027. I am convinced that many enterprises in the Kharkiv region will successfully take advantage of the lending opportunity," added Taras Vysotsky.

Special attention during the forum was paid to the issue of demining agricultural lands. In the Kharkiv region, about 570 thousand hectares of agricultural lands have been identified as potentially dangerous or mined. Government operators and international partners are involved in demining work. Specialists of the Mine Action Coordination Center at the Kharkiv OVA advise entrepreneurs on the registration of applications for non-technical and technical surveys, and help with compensation programs for already demined lands.
