In the Chuhuiv community, residents are advised to refrain from attending crowded Easter and memorial day celebrations.

Рекомендація утриматися від відвідування багатолюдних святкувань Великодніх та поминальних днів у Чугївській громаді.

This decision was made on April 9 by the city commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies, which was conducted by the head of the Chuguiv MVA, Halyna Minaeva, and her deputy, Igor Shepelev, on behalf of her.

He noted that, despite the fact that the territories of the community's cemeteries have been cleared of explosive objects (in 2023, more than 100 of them were removed from the New Cemetery alone), the security situation in the community has not improved at all.

Moreover, recently the Russians have significantly intensified shelling of the community's settlements with various types of weapons, so it is better to stay home during the holidays and spend them with family. The State Emergency Service, the National Police, and the Defense and Security Council of the Kharkiv region recommend the same. However, there is no categorical ban on visiting churches and cemeteries.

Igor Shepelev expressed gratitude for the understanding of the rector of the churches located in the community, who refused to hold night services: most of them will hold services and consecration of Easter eggs between 6 and 11 a.m. Employees of the State Emergency Service and the National Police will be on duty at the churches.

So, the authorities recommend that we all play it safe during the holidays and not risk our lives. But the final choice, as always, is up to each of us.
