Yesterday was another difficult day for the residents of Chuguev and the entire community. Russian troops launched a double strike on the city, resulting in casualties among both civilians and law enforcement officers.

According to police, on March 31, the enemy attacked the territory of a non-working enterprise with a drone. The strike caused damage to the production workshop, equipment and caused a fire. Within a few minutes, the shelling was repeated - just when law enforcement officers were working at the scene.

Three police officers were injured in the attack — two officers from the patrol police response department and a police guard. All of them were hospitalized.

Two civilian women were also injured. The 68-year-old was treated at the scene, while the 43-year-old was hospitalized with a severe head injury.

In addition, about 15 private houses were damaged as a result of the shelling - windows were broken, roofs were destroyed, and residents' property was damaged.

The head of the Chuguiv city military administration, Galina Minaeva, emphasized that the community has once again demonstrated resilience and unity in the face of enemy attacks. She thanked paramedics, rescuers, pyrotechnicians, law enforcement officers, municipal workers, and the Proliska humanitarian mission for their efficiency, professionalism, and assistance to the victims.

«"No resident whose housing has been damaged will be left without attention and support. Together we will definitely overcome any challenges," said Halyna Minaeva.

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war) regarding the shelling.
