In 41 territorial communities of Kharkiv region, specialized commissions have formed over 9.6 thousand housing certificates to provide compensation for destroyed property for a total amount of over 13 billion hryvnias. With the compensation, applicants have already purchased over 5 thousand real estate objects, including 4,315 apartments and 851 private houses, the head of Kharkiv OVA reported.
«"Today, the Kharkiv region is among the leaders in implementing the state program "Recovery in Ukraine". For us, it is not about statistics, but about specific solutions for specific people. We are making every effort to provide our residents with housing as soon as possible and return to them the feeling of their own home. In the future, we will coordinate and strengthen the work of specialized commissions so that residents of the region can receive proper compensation as soon as possible, begin restoration work or purchase new housing," said Oleg Synegubov.
A housing certificate under the program was received by Serhiy Tyshchenko, a resident of the village of Vilcha, Vovchansk community. Due to the repeated offensive of the Russian occupiers in the spring of 2024, the man and his wife were forced to evacuate to Kharkiv. The family managed to take with them only a few bags of belongings and a pet cat named Thomas.
«"In the summer of 2024, it was impossible to get to our village due to constant shelling. During another strike, the enemy completely destroyed our house. In August 2025, we received a housing certificate, and later - funds in the amount of 2 million hryvnias. Already in September, we were able to purchase an apartment in Kharkiv. The children helped cover the costs of notary services, the work of a realtor, taxes and fees. Thanks to the eVidnovlenie program, we now have new housing with all the necessary communications and a convenient location," said Serhiy Tyshchenko.
Alina Litvinenko, a resident of the village of Zybyne, Vovchansk community, left her home at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In 2024, the woman learned that her home had been destroyed as a result of enemy shelling.
«"Friends told us about the eVidnovlenie program. We collected all the necessary documents, submitted an application, and in a very short time received a certificate and were able to purchase housing in the regional center. Why did we choose Kharkiv? Because it is our hero city. I am grateful to the state and the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration for implementing the program, and to the specialized commission for promptly processing the application," noted Alina Litvinenko.
