This was announced by Gennady Chekunov, Director of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, during a briefing at the Official Media Center of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. According to the State Register of Property Damaged and Destroyed as a Result of the Full-Scale Invasion in the Kharkiv Region, over 93,000 real estate properties require reconstruction.

«"Restoration of the housing stock continues and remains one of the priority areas of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. We continue to coordinate and accelerate the work of specialized commissions so that applicants promptly receive funds for repair, construction or purchase of new housing. This area of work is under the personal control of the head of the KHOV, Oleg Synegubov. We are working hard on new solutions and compensation mechanisms," said Gennady Chekunov.

Under the "eReconstruction" program, more than 11,500 apartments and private houses have been rebuilt in the Kharkiv region. In total, almost 62,000 applications have been submitted for housing reconstruction. So far, 40,407 residents of the region have received payments for the reconstruction of their homes, the total amount of assistance amounted to almost 4.1 billion UAH.

Residents of the Kharkiv region also submitted more than 20,000 applications for compensation for destroyed property, including 19,604 housing certificates and 717 payments of cash assistance for the construction of new homes.

For the purchase of new housing instead of the destroyed one, 8,290 certificates worth almost UAH 11.1 billion were formed by specialized commissions. Compensation recipients purchased more than 4,000 real estate objects in the Kharkiv region. The total value of the property is UAH 8.6 billion, of which UAH 6.6 billion was paid with certificate funds. Most compensation recipients chose housing in Dergachivska, Pisochynska, Izyumska, Balakliiska communities and the city of Kharkiv.

A total of 6,082 housing certificates were used. Residents of the region also purchased homes in Kyiv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk and other regions.
